Schedule Update

by Paul Gilster on December 24, 2006

Merry Christmas! And for those of you who celebrate other holidays — or none at all — best wishes for the season. Centauri Dreams will not publish on December 24 or 25. The normal publication schedule resumes on the afternoon of the 26th.

Merry Christmas to you, Paul.

The service you do “unto us” seems very familiar at this time of year.

Everyday, I come here, and there’s your mind presenting us all with a conceptual bouquet!

Imagine us all arranged in a large circle around you. Imagine us all dressed as if we belonged to The Three Musketeers. Imagine us all with large plumbed hats, and swords and buckles and boots and leather garb.

Now, there you are in the center of that ring.

See? See how we all bow?

Can you hear the whoosh of all the doffed hats, the group rustling of our capes?

You’re a blessing.

No doubt about it can be found in us.

Have a great time off everyone!

As for the admin, thanks for this great informative website. I’ve been following the website for about 4 weeks and I must admit, every single article that I’ve read on this website is quite intriguing.
It was pretty interesting how I found this site… I was looking up nuclear pulse propulsion and the Orion Project, and their your website was… on the first page on the MSN search engine. And since then, I’m more fascinated in ion propulsion, nano technology, and sail technology than I ever was before I came to this website.
Thanks so much for this website and never stop your incredible findings and work! :)
By the way, not that I want you to stop this blog, did you ever consider about building a forum where other people can submit their own ideas, findings, etc.? It would add quite a lot of knowledge to Centauri Dreams &, who knows, a scientific community could be formed directly because of a website, specifically yours.

Merry xmas everyone.

This site definitely caught my interest with all the ideas being thrown around in here. Im still young, so hopefully I’ll get to see some of them come to fruition.

you know it is early on christmas day and my plans do not start for awhile yet,so i came here to have a quick look for anything new.found alot of kind words from dennis ,phil ,marc and bigdan etc i wish all of you the best too and VERY happy holidays! and marc, why would this not be the perfect spot for everyone to submit ANY ideas that they might have? i eagerly look forward to everyones ideas on space craft propulsion ! just recently read that breakthroughs tend to be unexpected,so it lends all the more significance to all our opinions and interactions! anyway, the very best to all and i hope we will all have a very fruitfull 2007 !! respectfully your friend george scaglione

George: This is a perfect spot to submit ideas, but forums appear to be even better (by spreading more information by allowing the user to add their own ideas as well instead of having to reply to specific topics) and they allow the owner of the blog to know how many people are “into” (or, interested in) the community. But hey, this isn’t my site. :) It was only a thoughtful suggestion. ;) Either way, I’m just glad Centuari Dreams is here for all to see.

Hopefully everyone enjoyed their gifts! And if not their gifts, I hoped everyone enjoyed their food. :)
